Pictures Of The Kori Bustard Ardeotis kori (230); The Heaviest Flying Bird In The World

Images Of The Kori Bustard Often Just Called The Kori

The Kori Bustard (As the title suggests) is the World's heaviest flying bird. You can't actually see how large the Kori is until you see it up close. The Kori Bustard is a magnificent bird and these photographs show the Kori in all it's glory and most of them were taken in the Satara region of the Kruger National Park. It is amazing to see this bird take off. The Kori Bustard stands 135cm above the ground and is a very interesting bird to watch that almost shows no fear. I say this because my first sighting of this bird was when it was walking in front of 2 male African Lions, really close to them. I was fearful for the Kori but he obviously did not care about the Lions. Here are the best photographs I have taken of the Kori Bustard.
