All You Need To Know About Me!

My name is Gareth Roocroft and I am the author and designer of this site. I love wildlife and nature. I am also a keen sports watcher and player. My love for sports includes mainly cricket and fishing. I also play indoor soccer. I live in a suburb called Bedfordview, near Johannesburg, in South Africa. I work for my father Tony Roocroft (The Pond Professor) at his company where I create and maintain websites about my passion: wildlife. I also write books about all the research I do and I am hoping that within the next 10 years I will be a household author name. I have many qualifications that range from professional writing to photography to advanced driving.

As I said I love wildlife and this website is a joy and I often just sit for hours writing about the wildlife of South Africa! I have done some wildlife research in many places in this great country of South Africa...
