Where To Saltwater Fish Along The Coast Of South AfricaIn South Africa we are truly blessed to have such an amazing coastline and fishery. Almost every bit of the shoreline proves to be a haven for many different species of South African Fish. Whether it's in estuaries, river mouths, intertidal zones, sandy beaches, rocky areas, offshore reefs and deep pinnacles, South Africa has it all and we are lucky enough to have well over 300 saltwater fish species we can target in these different environments... All types of fishing can be done: Fishing with bait, lures or artificial plastics, fishing is an endless challenge, which we all love and enjoy. The thing we need to do though is watch how many fish we kill, how much bait we collect and what pollution we leave behind. We need to conserve all life that uses the ocean as it's home, so please just follow the rules and catch limits and you can contribute to a better environment and help the sport of angling go on for years to come! This website is running a long term research project, in which we are trying to catch and release as many fish as possible (See Catch records of Saltwater or Freshwater fish), take pictures and gather data on these fish... Listed below are the locations where these fish have been caught. You will be provided with interesting information, photographs and of course fishing tips and fish species that occur in these amazing areas... |
