The following photos are of all the South African small organisms that we call insects. Insects make up most of the worlds organisms. There are around 1 000 000 known species of Insect and scientists think that this is only about 60% of all insects that occur on this planet. All people come into contact with South Africa's insect species on a daily basis and depending where they live. People in urban areas will often come across the annoying House Fly and Cockroach, but people in rural and wilderness areas will come into contact with the deadly species such as the Anopheles Malaria Mosquito and the dangerous Tsetse Fly. Anyone who loves the wild or natural areas of South Africa know that insects make up an important part of life in the wild, and I am sure you must have a soft spot for a specific insect specie?
