The animal life in the Kalahari Gemsbok National Park, now known as the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, is amazing and is so diverse. So much history is behind each of the mammal species that occur in this superb wilderness area. Just the fact that animals like the Striped Mouse to the African Lion can survive here is unbelievable. This arid conservation area is a home that supports 69 different mammal species and on this and the next few pages you can look at photographs of some of these amazing mammals. So take your time and look at these beautiful pictures of these animals in a harsh environment...
