The Picnic Spots And Sites Of The Kalahari Gemsbok National Park South Africa

All The Picnic Spots And Information You Need

The Kalahari Gemsbok National Park Picnic Spots... These sites are great places to be out in the wild with the Kgalagadi wildlife and it is great feeling to sit on a picnic bench under a Camel Thorn tree and listen (And sometimes watch) to the wild creatures close to the picnic spot. Birdlife around picnic spots in the park is usually quite prolific. Birds like the Cape Crow, Sociable Weaver, Cape Glossy Starling, White-Browed Sparrow-Weaver and Southern Grey-Headed Sparrow are the most common birds to see at all the picnic areas. Mammals such as Mongoose, Mice, Squirrel, Jackal and Hyaena might also be lurking in or around theses areas of relaxation. There are normally also a few Lizard and Insect species hanging around for food left over by you and your family and friends. Please just remember not to feed any birds or mammals because after a while they start becoming a nuisance as they are dependant on someone feeding them and sooner or later they will die of starvation or have to be shot by park management. Listed below are all the 6 picnic spots in the park:

Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park Picnic Spots

Auchterlonie Picnic Spot

Kamqua Picnic Spot

Melkvlei Picnic Spot

Dikbaardskolk Picnic Spot

Lijersdraai Picnic Spot

Unions End Picnic Spot
