Photo's And Information On The African Buffalo Syncerus Caffer
African Buffalo Images And PicturesThe African Buffalo, often called the Cape Buffalo, is a very large grazing mammal and can be very dangerous when wounded or cornered. These photographs of the Cape Buffalo were taken by myself in mainly the Kruger National Park and the Addo Elephant National Park. The African Buffalo is a quite shy ungulate and has an excellent sense of smell. In the Kruger National Park, Buffalo research has become one of the main projects the park is working on as Buffalo are carriers are of Bovine Tuberculosis (Bovine T.B.), and in this research they have found that in every herd of African Buffalo in the Kruger there is at least one Lion trailing the herd in all cases.
