What an amazing sight it is to see; a Sugarbird perched on a Protea bush and fulfilling all it requirements by taking as much nectar as it needs and then moving on to the next bush. These fruit and nectar loving birds light up the South African bushveld with their amazing colours and superb antics. There are a lot of Sunbird species that occur in South Africa, 3 White-Eyes and 2 Sugarbirds which are all special in their own ways!
