Nightjars... You might not see to many of these South African Nocturnal birds but at night, if the Nightjars are there, you will definitely hear them. The Nightjars are one of the sounds of the South African night and the songs of the Nightjar light up whatever you are doing when you are out in the Nightjars habitat. Nightjars often sit on the roads at night as they provide a lot of warmth, this at times can be the Nightjars downfall.
