Woodland Tree-Loving Birds Of South Africa

Out of the 10 different species of woodland bird (Woodhoopoe, Scimitarbill, Wryneck & Woodpecker) 7 are true woodpeckers. Which means that in South Africa the Woodhoopoe, Scimitarbill and Wryneck only boast one specie of bird. However these birds are fairly common in their range, especially the Green Woodhoopoe, which has a magnificent bird call.
